Phil - Keep Trying !
Hey Boxing Fans,

Check out this link to my Aunt's Brother.

http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=33863&cat=boxer

He actually beat Paul Brown who had defeated Joe Bugner, but lost to Joe !!

(but his fights are in the same boxing mags of that time as Muhammad Ali and Henry Cooper)

Still a 52.38% Knockout rate against world class old school proffesional heavyweights is still pretty impressive.

Good on ya Tezza !!

Phil

Hugh - Feedback on New Classes
Heya Guys, had a chat to some of the trainers...nothing personal. Feedback for the new classes, way too many Burpees and Squat jumps, most Professional areas, like Defence and Police got rid of them because of the damage they cause participants under fatigue or stress. Good once in a while, but to base a class around them is too much. Alright for some, but you might need to look around at the walking wounded, most people are just turning up to try and get through another session, because they think their injuries will go away. Also, push-ups should only be held in the 'rest position', either with arms locked-extended or completely bent (just off the ground), anywhere in between, held for too long causes issues with your back, especially if your not fit, fatigued or carrying a bit of extra weight. Trainers need the flexibility to 'read' their class, if they can see the participants falling apart, or poor form (in exercise) they should be able to adapt the routine to suit. Sorry, not a fan of SweatBox and Knockout. Make the classes harder, no issues there, make them more intense, just loose the Burpees and the squat jumps...Many thanks though to the trainers who give us 100%, Hats off to Jake, Danny, Tim, Nick and Sam, Don't loose heart over my comments, NOT DIRECTED at you, purely directed at the classes...cheers, Hugh

BoxingFit was brought to life, after over 20 years of experience in the boxing and fitness industry, by Michael (boxing coach) and Selina Hargraves.

Michael and Selina saw the need for a commercial Boxing for Fitness and Weight loss centre where the average person could come and receive the ultimate boxing for fitness and Weight loss workout without the intimidation of the old school, rough fighters gym.

The first BoxingFit centre, established in 2006, doubled in size within 12 months of operation and rapidly grew to a membership of 1500. After trialling the franchise system at its second gym, established in 2008, the company is now on a successful franchise expansion path offering franchisees the opportunity to replicate their success.

BoxingFit provides all of its members with a wide range of 30 minute boxing classes, personal training, children boxing, we cater for all ages ranging from 10 years to adults up to 75 years of age.

To add to the atmosphere at BoxingFit's high energy centre's is TEAM BoxingFit - real fighters in centre ring you can watch while you workout.

BoxingFit's training system's are producing a number of Champions boxers both professional and amateur so keep your eye on the website for them.
