Do I have to be fit to start boxing?
No. We cater for all levels of fitness from beginners to advanced athletes.
Do I have to be co-ordinated to box?
No. You come to the Professionals. We can teach anyone how to box.
Will I get bored?
No. BoxingFit changes it's timetable regularly and our instructors are all athletes so they are very motivational.
Will I tone up boxing?
Have you checked out boxers bodies lately? You will definitely tone up. High Intense Interval training get you fast results in minimal time.
Should I do weights?
Yes, we do resistance training in many of our classes. Don't forget there's a weights room or free weight area in every BoxingFit centre.
Does BoxingFit do sparring?
Yes we do. Our professional boxing trainers will assess you and you will need to provide a doctor's clearance. After that's all done we will register you and you can start sparring!
What sort of Personal Training can I do?
BoxingFit offers Personal Training in boxing, weights or a combination of both. We structure Personal Training to meet your needs and help you achieve your goals.
Other than fitness, what other effects will training have on my health?
Training regularly has many positive benefits.
Boxing is great for stress relief, weight loss, fitness and you meet lots of new friends in our classes.
Fitness also decreases the risk of heart diseases, cancer and many other illnesses.
Everyone should do 1/2 hour of exercise per day as recommended by the National Heart Foundation and Diabetes Australia.
How many calories do I burn in a class 30 minute class?
Anywhere between 350 and 550 calories and if you do two classes you can burn up to 1100 calories.
What sort of Memberships does BoxingFit offer?
Standard Memberships, Family Memberships, Kids Klub, Knock Out The Kilos Weight-Loss Program and Personal Training Memberships are all available.
Is there an age limit at BoxingFit?
Kids can start from 10 years old - adults to 108! Boxing is a great workout for everyone.
Am I carrying too much weight to start boxing?
NO! BoxingFit is a fitness and weight-loss centre. It's never too late to start.
Will I lose weight boxing?
Definitely
Do I need to pre-book to attend classes?
No. The BoxingFit timetable offers morning, lunchtime, afternoon and evening classes and there's plenty of space to accommodate members.
Our 30 minute classes run back to back in many instances so if you're running late for a class you can always join in the next one.
What should I wear?
Training gear such as shorts, tracky pants, singlets or t'shirts; so long as you're comfortable and ready to sweat!
